Performed and edited in the studio, this piece is inspired by the Dogme filmmakers. For me the idea of working without props has become increasingly important. I prefer to go to a space empty handed, save my camera. I spend time in the space and consider its nuances. I develop an action in response to the space. The space is filled with new meaning and in turn the space affects my physicality – a relationship manifests. This relationship is explored from multiple angles and during the editing process it is manipulated once more by slowing the video down or playing it in reverse. The sum of the whole is greater than the parts.
